Ronda Dearing

Ronda L. Dearing is the senior director for research and evaluation at the Brené Brown Education and Research Group. She is a clinical psychologist with a Ph.D. from George Mason University. Prior to joining BBEARG, she was a senior research scientist at the Research Institute on Addictions, University at Buffalo. In that capacity, she served as an investigator on multiple NIH grants. Her focus of study included problematic alcohol use, treatment and treatment seeking for alcohol problems, and shame as it relates to addiction. She has co-authored two books on shame, one on addictions, and numerous research articles.
